FTA receiver guide
If you want to receive free-to-air satellite channels in the US:
- You'll need a satellite dish pointed at one of the FTA-friendly satellites (Galaxy 19 at 97°W is the most common for US FTA hobbyists).
- An FTA-compatible receiver. Brands above all work.
- Standalone FTA antennas are often called "C-band" or "Ku-band" depending on frequency.
