Who we are

DVB Upload is a reviews and guides site for satellite receivers, IPTV, streaming and VPN services. We run as an independent media outlet. Our domain is dvb-upload.com.

Data you give us

• Your email and message when you use the contact form.
• Your email if you sign up for our newsletter (once we launch it).
• Comments or reviews if we ever enable them.

Automatic data

When you visit the site, your browser shares some data by default:

• IP address (we anonymize it before storing).
• Browser type and operating system.
• Pages you visit and time on each.
• Referring website.
• Rough country (from IP).

We use Google Analytics 4 for this. GA4 respects your browser's "Do Not Track" setting and anonymizes IPs.

How we use the data

• Improve the site: know which articles you read, what you can't find and where the navigation breaks.
• Reply to you: if you write us, we use your email to respond.
• Newsletter: if you sign up, we send updates. You can unsubscribe in any email.
• Comply with the law: if a court orders us to hand over data, we comply.

Who sees your data

We share data only with providers that help us operate the site:

• Cloudways / DigitalOcean: server hosting.
• Cloudflare: CDN and DDoS protection. Cloudflare sees your IP when you visit.
• Google Analytics: anonymized stats.
• Google AdSense: once we launch ads. Read their policy.
• Affiliate programs (Surfshark, NordVPN, Amazon, etc.): when you click an affiliate link, they know you came from our site. What you do on their site we no longer see.

Your rights (GDPR + CCPA)

If you're in the EU, California, or other jurisdictions with similar laws, you have the right to:

• Access the data we have about you.
• Correct wrong data.
• Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Restrict how we use your data.
• Port your data to another service.
• Object to processing.
• Withdraw consent at any time.

How long we keep data

• Contact messages: 12 months.
• Google Analytics data: 14 months (default, anonymized).
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
• Server logs: 7 days.

Children

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you discover a child has given us data, write to us and we delete it.

California (CCPA) specific

California residents have additional rights:

• The right to know what personal information we sell or share (we do not sell personal data).
• The right to opt out of any sharing.
• The right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we update the date above and, for important changes, notify you with a banner on the site for 30 days.
