English editor · US cord-cutting, streaming and IPTV

Editor · English editor

I write about cord-cutting, streaming and IPTV for US readers at DVB Upload. I have been covering the US streaming space since the pre-Hulu days, when "cord-cutting" still meant buying an over-the-air antenna and praying for clear ABC.

I live in Brooklyn. I run three streaming services concurrently (rotating which one each month for testing), use a Fire TV Stick 4K Max as my daily driver, and have a TiVo Stream 4K and Apple TV box on standby.

What I cover at DVB Upload

  • Reviews of US streaming services (Hulu, YouTube TV, Sling TV, FuboTV, Paramount+, Peacock, Pluto TV).
  • Cord-cutting setup guides.
  • IPTV apps on Fire TV and Android TV (IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate, IBO Player, OTT Navigator).
  • VPN reviews and comparisons for US users (NordVPN, Surfshark, ExpressVPN, IPVanish, CyberGhost, Proton VPN).
  • OTA antenna guides for free local broadcast TV.

How I work

For VPN reviews I install on a MacBook Pro M2, a Pixel 8, and a Fire TV Stick 4K Max. I run speed tests via Speedtest.net and fast.com across 5+ server locations during peak evening hours. I check for IP and DNS leaks. I try streaming Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max and Disney+ through each VPN.

For streaming service reviews I subscribe for at least one full billing cycle. I test on Fire TV, Apple TV 4K, Chromecast and mobile. I evaluate the channel lineup, DVR features, simultaneous streams and pricing transparency.

For IPTV apps I test on Fire TV Stick 4K and Android TV. I configure an M3U source (legal, like Pluto TV's free playlist) and evaluate the interface, EPG performance, parental controls and stability over multiple sessions.

Background

  • Tech writer for various US tech blogs since 2018.
  • Cord-cutting consultant for two boutique audio/video stores in NYC.
  • Joined DVB Upload as English editor in 2026.

What I won't write about

  • Pirate IPTV services. The $10/month "Premium IPTV" sold on Telegram is illegal and unreliable. If you message me asking for one, the answer is no.
  • Cardsharing setups (CCcam, OScam, mgcamd). Off limits.
  • Firmware mods designed to enable piracy.

My niche is the legal cord-cutting and streaming space. There is a real, growing market, with great products that work, and it deserves honest coverage.
